The High-Energy Dance of Maceo Harrison
Maceo Harrison, a 30-year-old hip-hop dance teacher from Baltimore, Maryland, brought his energetic style to the America’s Got Talent stage. Now living in Savannah, Georgia, Maceo teaches dance to all ages, from four-year-olds to adults, with a powerful message to his students: follow your dreams.
Maceo’s audition was a quick, high-energy hip-hop routine that left the judges wanting more. Judge Howie Mandel noted that it was rare for a single dancer to use the entire stage, which Maceo did brilliantly.
While the performance was brief, Howie appreciated Maceo’s authenticity and how he managed to brilliantly capture their attention in just 30 seconds.
One judge initially hesitated to give him a “yes” due to the short length of the performance but was ultimately won over by Maceo’s infectious energy and excitement. In the end, all the judges gave him a “yes” vote, sending him on to the next round of the competition.
